Mike's Brakes & More ("we," "us," or "the shop") is an auto repair business at 2918 S Cooper St, Suite F4, Arlington, TX 76015. This policy explains the information collected through our website, phone line, text messages, voicemail, and website chat.
We collect information needed to respond to service requests and operate the shop. We do not sell personal information or use customer contact information for bulk marketing.
Information we collect
Calls and voicemail
Our phone system records the calling number and time. If a caller leaves a voicemail, the system may store the recording and an automated transcription so the shop can respond.
Text messages
We keep the content of service-related text messages, the phone numbers involved, timestamps, and delivery status. If a customer opts out by replying STOP, we retain the number on a suppression list so further texts are not sent.
Service requests
The website form collects the name, phone number, vehicle, service category, description of the concern, preferred day or time, and the customer's SMS consent choice. We also record the submission time.
Website chat
Chat conversations may be logged, including customer messages and assistant responses. Contact information shared for follow-up may be saved with a service request. Logs may be retained for service quality, security, and dispute resolution.
Website use
Google Analytics provides aggregated information such as pages visited, approximate location, and device type. Firebase and Google Cloud may log standard technical data, including IP addresses, for hosting, security, and operations.
How we use information

- Coordinate inspections, estimates, appointments, and repair updates
- Maintain service, consent, and opt-out records
- Operate, secure, and improve the website and communication systems
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Service providers
We use service providers that process data on our behalf:
- Twilio for call routing, voicemail, transcription, and text delivery
- Google Firebase, Google Cloud, and Google Analytics for hosting, storage, site analytics, and website chat infrastructure
- Our email delivery provider for internal notifications about service requests
We may disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect customers, the shop, or the public.
Retention
Voicemails, texts, chat logs, and service requests are retained while useful for customer service, security, and business records, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed. Some repair, invoice, consent, and opt-out records may be retained when legally or operationally required.
Your choices
- Texts: Reply STOP to opt out. Reply HELP for help.
- Analytics: Standard browser controls can block analytics without preventing normal site use.
- Access or deletion: Call or text the shop to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to required business records.
Children
The website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
